On the fat32 partition, create these folders: # /dev/sd? is the fat32 partition. If you already have a Linux distro, you just need to create a fat32 partition. The other is your normal linux distro partition that contains /boot. NOTE: There are two boot partition, one is a fat32 formatted partition that is used by Apple EFI boot loader which should contain /EFI/BOOT/BOOT圆4.EFI. NOTE: Through out this page I use /mnt/efi as the place where the EFI partition is mounted.

My Mac’s SSD Hard disk is toasted, and I not able to test this setup on the internal hard disk. When MacBook starts up, I have to press the ‘OPTION Key’ to be able to select the partitions. NOTE: I’ve installed Ubuntu on a USB stick, and the fat32 partition is also on that stick. I used the same strategy, but adapted it to the new gmux driver’s way.

Because in newer MacBooks, Apple has changed the way apple_gmux driver works.įor example Installing Debian Wheezy (7.0) on an Apple MacbookPro9,1 (15″, June 2012). But it does not work on mid 2012 and later MacBooks. NOTE: There is a solution, for this same problem on MacBook Pro early 2012 and before. I’m counting on the community’s help, to make it better.
